In Honour of Hugel Day on November 14, 2020, Chef Richard Hondier will be offering a limited quantity of his Choucroute Garnie à l’Alsacienne. Some may remember this dish from the Famille Hugel Winemakers dinner that we put on in March of this year. (Back when the world was a normal place, and we could host special dinners.) If you didn’t get the opportunity to attend that dinner, this is your chance to try this incredible dish. And of course what Alsatian meal would be complete with out the accompanying wine? Be sure to pair your Choucroute with Famille Hugel Gentil “Hugel” 2018 (50% Sylvaner & Pinot Blanc, 15% Gewurztraminer, 22% Pinot Gris, 7% Riesling, 6% Muscat) for the full experience.
In addition to the Choucroute, Chef Richard will be preparing a classic French Tarte Tatin which will be served with vanilla ice cream. The Tarte Tatin wouldn’t be complete without a little taste of Mirabelle d’Alsace Eau-de-VieHugel.
